A unique and precious collection of more than 1,000 sacred Buddhist relics will be permanently displayed in the Heart Shrine of the completed Maitreya Buddha statue in Kushinagar.

Meanwhile, it is the wish of the Spiritual Director of the Maitreya Project, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, that the collection should travel throughout the world to bring the blessings of the relics and the message of loving-kindness to people everywhere.  Memorial Day weekend, they will be paying Palm Springs a visit.

The relics will be in Palm Springs May 25-27 at the Center for Spiritual Living.  Friday, there will be an opening ceremony from 6 to 8 p.m., with the relics on display Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

The Center for Spiritual Living is located at 2100 East Racquet Club Road, Palm Springs, 92262.
