I began Death Valley Jim Desert Guide Service because of my love and passion for the desert. Every available moment of my free time has gone into exploring, and learning about the historical locations in the Mojave Desert. I have the desire to share these locations and history with others that visit our desert, as well as the locals that may not have previously had the opportunity to explore these invaluable locations. I operate the website Deathvalleyjim.com, which provides trip reports, historical data, photography, and much more to the desert community. I have published my first book, “Secret Places in the Mojave Desert.” I also have a regular column in the Sun Runner Magazine, and am a contributing writer at Dezert Magazine. My services as a guide are available for hiking or jeeping, for one to five days at a time. If you already know where you want to go, or are looking for my advice based on your interest, I can get you there! I will guide for up to 3 persons. This allows me to spend quality time with you. You will have the opportunity to personally interact with me for our entire trip. My areas of specialty include the following: Death Valley National Park, Searles Valley, Panamint Mountains, El Paso Mountain Range, Randsburg Mining District, Bullfrog Mining District, Mojave National Preserve, Baker – Death Valley Junction, Route 66, Barstow Area
